191/365: Like a Fish

As a kid, I was always in the water. Any time we went to the pool, lake or beach, my brothers and I got in the water as soon as we arrived and didn't get out until we left... even if it was 8 hours later. Now, as 30 is right around the corner, I still love the water. I could play in a pool all day long.

A friend of mine invited a couple girlfriends and their kiddos over for a some pool and breakfast fun today; I couldn't wait to put Hannah in a suit! Turns out, she loves the water, too. That's my girl!!

190/365: Blooming Hydrangea

I'm one of those people that wishes I had a green thumb. I don't necessarily have a brown thumb, I just haven't ever put in the effort to really landscape and plant. Our home was a foreclosure with years worth of weeds that we are still tackling, so flower beds are only something I daydream about!

My parents' yard, on the other hand, is like a jungle. When we first moved into that cookie cutter neighborhood over 20 years ago, there were no trees and dirt roads. Now, the trees are grown and the landscaping is lush. I ran down to my parents' to drop off some birthday goodies for my step-dad (Happy Birthday, John!!!) and noticed their hydrangea bush was bursting with bright pink hydrangea flowers. I love hydrangeas (and peonies). So, of course I had to snap a picture.

189/365: The Marina

Hannah and I headed off to Lake Nockamixon this morning to do a photo shoot... I can't believe that I grew up so close to this park and never went there! Today, we did the shoot at the marina and it was just beautiful.

B&W or color?

188/365: Cat Nap and More

I don't know what's in the air today, and I don't care... whatever it is, it made all three of my kiddos take awesome naps! I caught G napping on the guest bed, so I grabbed a picture of him. He looked so peaceful.

This evening I had a photo shoot at the Moravian Tile Works. I would put money on a bet that every local photography has had a shoot at this site... for obvious reason. Here's a sneak peek.

The weather was calling for a nasty storm at the time of our shoot. Fortunately, it didn't arrive until I was on my way home. When I was a few miles from home, there was a neat strip of blue sky among the storm clouds.

Overall, a successful day with a busy week ahead of social dates and photo shoots!

187/365: Reflection

I liked how the road was reflecting in Dustin's sunglasses today... he was none too thrilled to have a camera in his face while driving, though!

186/365: Tiger Lily

Tiger Lillies remind me of my childhood summers. They always bloom in early July, and they are everywhere. Some are planted with intention and others are happily blooming wherever they please. They're such happy flowers!

185/365: Stars & Stripes Forever

Hannah's first 4th of July! We visited MeMe & PopPop and were sure to just relax. Mission accomplished!

Mama! He's touching me!!
