A New Year's Resolution

I'm not a huge fan of resolutions. I feel like they set me up for failure. Almost always, we (women) resolve to eat better and get our bodies back in shape. I think most women who actually do eat healthy and have beautiful bodies still make this resolution. It starts in adolescence and continues through life. As the year 2013 begins, I will be exactly 7 months pregnant and love my body more now than I ever have. Being pregnant with a little girl, I have resolved, not just for this year, but forever, to never go on a diet again. I don't want her to grow up making a New Year's resolution, year after year, to always wish for a new body. Those of you who have made this resolution, go for it! It's certainly not to offend anyone who has this goal, it's just simply not one I'll make as a resolution anymore. However, that's enough of that. (Let's talk about what I am resolving to do.)

This year, I have a few resolutions. The one I am sharing with you is my Project 365. Many of you reading this already know my love for photography, or at least you're catching on. I've loved photography since a young age. In the past couple years, my incredibly supportive husband has purchased me cameras and equipment to feed my love. Each year, I feel like I learn more and more and still can't get enough. Where will I go with photography? Who knows. For now, it's my creative outlet and my therapy. It's something I want to continue to practice and learn more about. Dedicating to this project will help me, not only pick up my camera every day, but to stop and smell the roses. Something, I think we should all resolve to do.

So, with that said, I will do my very best to take a picture every day and post it... every day. Will I miss a day or two? Probably. Will I take a picture and not post it right away? It will happen. I know this is a big commitment; everyone who's done it says it takes a lot of dedication, creativity, and self-talk to make it through the whole year, but I will do it.

Wish me luck and be sure to follow me to give me encouragement when I start to lose steam!
